About the Fund
The Jack Gilfoy, Jr. Legacy Fund was established in memory of longtime Clinton Mayor Jack Gilfoy, Jr. The fund honors Mayor Gilfoy's many years of service to Clinton and Vermillion County by continuing his legacy of supporting the community he served.
Backpacks and School Supplies – $3,000
The Jack Gilfoy, Jr. Legacy Fund, a fund of the Vermillion County Community Foundation, awarded a $3,000 grant to support the purchase of backpacks and school supplies for Vermillion County students in need as they returned to school this fall.
The grant supported a community effort organized by Integrity Construction, which purchased and distributed backpacks filled with school supplies to students throughout Vermillion County.

School Nurse Emergency Fund – $1,000
The Jack Gilfoy, Jr. Legacy Fund, a fund of the Vermillion County Community Foundation, awarded a $1,000 grant to Central Elementary School to support its School Nurse Emergency Fund.
The School Nurse Emergency Fund helps provide for immediate needs that may arise for students during the school year, giving school staff a resource to assist students when unexpected needs occur.
