Principal’s Message

Bald, bearded manDear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,

Welcome to Central Elementary!

Our motto is simple but powerful: "Helping our students make a nice life". At Central, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

My Name is Ryan Jenkins, and I am proud to serve as the principal of this incredible school and to be a part of the community.  I started my career at South Vermillion as a student teacher back in the Spring of 2002.  I was hired the following year as a teacher at the middle school where I taught social studies and coached a variety of sports.

My wife and I have two daugthers.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, and hunting.

I believe the greatest student success happens when there is a strong partnership between home and school.  Please never hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.  Together, we can ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.  Central is the first step on the path to "make a nice life".

Warm regards,
Ryan Jenkins
