Dear Central Families,

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share feedback about our Learning Logs. We truly appreciate your honesty. Your input helped us reflect on what is working well and where we can make small adjustments to better support students and families without losing sight of the importance of building strong foundational skills and responsibility.

Based on your feedback, we will be making the following updates K-4:

• Learning Logs will only be Monday-Thursday .

• Learning Logs are due on Friday but will continue to be accepted for full credit on Monday, recognizing that some weeks are busier than others and additional time may be helpful.

• No additional homework will be assigned beyond learning logs.

You may still see papers come home from time to time. To provide clarity, all papers will be clearly communicated as one of the following:

• “Extra Practice” – This work is optional practice, should be kept at home, and does not need to be returned to school.

• “Return to School” – This indicates that your child did not complete the work during class time and needs to finish it and return it to school.

Learning Logs remain an important tool for reinforcing reading, math, and responsibility. We believe these small changes will help maintain that purpose while offering greater flexibility for families.
